The Asia-Pacific Society for Interventional Thyroidology (APSIT) is an international medical organization dedicated to advancing the science, education, and practice of interventional thyroidology.

Prof. Nobuhiro Fukunari
Nobuhiro Fukunari, MD, PhD, is an endocrine surgeon and Director of the Thyroid Center at Showa University Northern Yokohama Hospital, Japan. His clinical and research interests focus on thyroid surgery, ultrasound-guided thyroid intervention, and minimally invasive treatments including radiofrequency ablation (RFA). He has contributed to the development of image-guided thyroid therapies and international collaboration in interventional thyroidology.

Dr. Eric Hui-Lun Lau, FRCS
Dr. Lau is a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologists in the Prince of Wales Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Head and Neck Surgical Board of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists.

​Dr. Lau leads the development of Ultrasound-guided thyroid interventional services in Hong Kong under the Hospital Authority and has published internationally on radiofrequency and microwave ablation of thyroid nodules. The CUHK head and neck USG and ablation course co-lead by him attracts global participants annually.

Prof. Wei-Che Lin
Dr. Wei-Che Lin is the Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and a Professor at both Chang Gung University and the Post-Baccalaureate Medicine Program of National Sun Yat-sen University. A globally recognized authority in Head and Neck Interventions, he leads the Thyroid and Head & Neck Ablation Center at KCGMH, which was honored with the SNQ National Quality Bronze Award of Taiwan for its clinical excellence and innovation.

He currently serves on the Executive Board of several prominent professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of the Republic of China (RSROC) and various interventional radiology societies.

Daren is a Consultant Radiologist working at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth, Western Australia. Following surgical training in the UK, he has maintained research interests in Head & Neck Oncology, Ultrasound, Airway Imaging & low-impact, evidenced care. He works across imaging modalities to tailor diagnostic & therapeutic patient options. He is on the research committee of the Australian & New Zealand Society of Neuroradiology & holds adjunct academic positions at the University of Western Australia & Curtin Medical School.

Dr. Woojin Cho, M.D.
Dr. Woojin Cho is the Representative Director of Withsim Clinic in Bundang, South Korea. Specializing in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, his practice focuses on head and neck ultrasound and guided procedures, including radiofrequency ablation and core needle biopsy.
A leading advocate for surgeon-performed ultrasound, Dr. Cho founded the International Head and Neck Ultrasound Surgeon’s Association in 2024, currently serving as its General Secretary. He has delivered over 100 scientific presentations globally and organized more than 20 international ultrasound courses. He also holds executive board positions in key Korean societies, including the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
